It is a start of a new year again and YES I do realize it has been centuries since I have posted anything. It goes without saying that my life has been crazy. I read over my goals from last year and I was surprised I did accomplish a lot of them. The yelling thing..I continue to work on that daily. I am a natural yeller when I get frustrated, especially since Kendra loves to not listen. I get very aggravated by that. She is my little mama helper and feels she knows best. Where could she get that idea from? Ha ha. I did update the page with a great family picture that was taken in the fall. It has been a joy watching our children grow over the last year. Kendra has started school. I was so scared for her. I prayed and prayed that we were making the right choices as parents. We would love to send all our children to private school, but the fiances are just not there. Kendra's teacher has been an answer to our prayers. She is just who I hoped her teacher would be like.
One of our biggest accomplishments for 2011; we became DEBT FREE!! Thanks to Dave Ramsey and our much hard work. Now onto the next goal of building our emergency fund and we should be completed with this by spring/early summer. This will allow for us to save up for our dream home. That feels so far away, but we will get there some day.
I had a break down around Christmas and finally discovered I needed some help with the kids. After two recommendations we found two young ladies for date nights. Matt and I needed at least one night out together a month. We have already had two date nights in January!! It is wonderful spending some alone time with him. Afterwards, I feel that I am charged and ready to tackle the next thing. We will be better parents because of it.
Now lets see if I can continue to blog occasionally? Time will only tell. Off to get kendra from school!
